I’m delighted to inform you that the property was purchased by Mrs Joanna Robinson towards the end of 2024 and Fox Cottage is to continue as a holiday home in the future. I have been asked to stay on and continue to manage the lettings and will remain your point of contact for holiday enquiries and bookings.
The cottage was closed to guests from the start of the New Year for a period of refurbishment (so that a number of improvements for the benefit of our visitors could be made), but it opened its door to visitors again from the start of May, and we are very excited about the changes.
Can I invite you to consider booking your holiday for the remainder of this year or next soon given current demand.
Finally, on behalf of my mother and me, can I express our gratitude for your loyalty and support over the years. We have enjoyed our time enormously and I’m really thrilled to be continuing my association with Fox Cottage and with you.

With the ‘cost of living crisis’, it’s been a tough year for many and we are mindful that taking a family holiday is a major decision and not one that everyone can afford. The Holiday Cottage sector has been through a difficult patch as a consequence with many owners reporting lower than average occupancy rates.
Thank you to all our our lovely visitors, some of whom have stayed multiple times and many of whom have booked again for next year. We’ve made some good friends and we appreciate your loyalty and the many kind and encouraging things you have said. We very much look forward to seeing you in 2024.

We were hit hard, like everyone else, with the effects of COVID-19. Two national lockdowns meant we were forced to close for large parts of 2020. We reopened in July 2020 and and then were hit by a third lockdown at the start of 2021. We reopened at the end of April 2021 and your support has meant that we have made a strong recovery. Our thanks to all of you who took a holiday at the cottage. Your support is very much appreciated!
