Fox Cottage is conveniently located in one of the prettiest and most visited rural towns in North Yorkshire, Helmsley.
This Grade II listed cottage is situated a short stroll from the picturesque market square. Retaining much of its original eighteenth century character, it features beamed ceilings, an open fire and lots of period charm.
Accommodating up to four people, the cottage is wonderfully cosy but there are one or two low doorways. It is well equipped, attractively decorated and traditionally furnished.
Fox Cottage is ‘dog-friendly’ – well behaved dogs are most welcome by prior arrangement.

History
Fox Cottage has operated as a holiday cottage since 2014 following restoration by the previous owners, Philippa and Richard Galloway, in 2013.
Fox Cottage was purchased in November 2024 by Joanna Robinson and was further renovated and improved over the course of the next six months. Fox Cottage reopened its doors in May 2025.
The property is looked after by Ben Galloway, (son of the previous owners) who has been managing the lettings for the last 11 years. Over that time, the cottage has acquired a very loyal following – with many guests returning year upon year. Ben is delighted to be staying on as Joanna’s manager and remains your point of contact.
