About Fox Cottage

Fox Cottage was purchased in November 2024 by Joanna Robinson.

Since 2012 it had been owned by Philippa and Richard Galloway and was lovingly restored by Philippa in 2013.

The property has been run as a weekly holiday cottage since 2013 and managed for the past ten years by Philippa’s son, Ben Galloway. Over that time, the cottage has acquired a very loyal following – some returning guests are now in their seventh and even eighth year. Ben is delighted to be staying on as manager for the new owner.

Helmsley is a very popular holiday destination, and for couples or small families wishing to base themselves in the heart of this lovely market town, Fox Cottage is an ideal choice.

Many of you will be aware that after 11 wonderful years, my mother, Philippa, recently decided that the time had come to put Fox Cottage on the market. Many asked me to notify you when the cottage sells and whether or not it is to continue as a holiday cottage.

I am delighted to inform you that the property has been purchased by Mrs Joanna Robinson and her intention is to continue running Fox Cottage as a holiday home in the future. Furthermore, I’m hoping to stay on to manage the lettings for her and remain your point of contact for holiday enquiries and bookings.

Mrs Robinson is closing the cottage from the start of the New Year to refurbish the property and make a number of improvements for your future comfort and enjoyment, but Fox Cottage will be opening its door to visitors again from Saturday 3^rd May 2025 onwards.
